TITLE: IT Project Manager

SALARY: $135,000 - $140,000 + 15 % bonus
SUMMARY:
The IT Project Manager will perform as the functional lead on customer projects. They will be responsible for non-technical phases of a project. The Project Manager will also be able to identify potential solutions to manual or other business processes.
DUTIES:
- Support AX financials users by designing test plans, performing testing and verifying results of testing Provide training, expertise to functional users of Financials and Purchasing modules
- Manage projects, i.e., familiarity with project methodology including requirements gathering, scope definition, risk analysis, project planning, project execution, post implementation reviews
- Develop business cases to secure funding for projects that augment the efficiency and effectiveness of critical business operations through the use of information technology.
- Based upon knowledge of the mainframe and system architecture, improve processes and design then execute and verify results of test plans.
- Communicate with customers and maintain excellent working relationships.
- Understand accounting processes and internal controls Lead or participant in business process redesign teams; document business processes, design to-be processes, recognize internal control points and design appropriate controls
- Identify points in business processes where technology would enhance, streamline, automate or improve accuracy of the process
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of related business/process knowledge preferred; or equivalent combination of education/experience.
- Leadership experience with business operations.
- Experience in Information Technology (IT) project implementations
- Experience with financial accounting practices and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver superior customer service, and to manage customer requirements and expectations.
- Ability to communicate at all levels, written and oral.
- Ability to quickly learn essential mainframe processes as well as system architecture.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year university or college, preferably in Accounting
