Out in the community: Clearpoint and Love Out Loud Ministries

This past Saturday, our General Manager, Karl Brunner along with the support of James and Charelle Webb, coordinated a group of long time Clearpoint friends and family to spend the morning making and distributing sack lunches for the homeless.

"Recently I have had the urge to commit myself to give back to the community," said Karl Brunner. "Working with owners who set an example of unselfish giving back, really inspired me." So when the time came to start coordinating, everything fell into place. When asked, friends and family did not hesitate and committed as well to help in any way they could.

The group met early Saturday morning. Made 300+ sack lunches. Packed them up and headed out to the Love Out Loud Ministry site located in Downtown Houston. To the group, it made sense to partner up with Love Out Loud Ministry. "The concept of helping others less fortunate than us, just seemed like the right thing to do," said Karl.

"What a humbling and life changing experience it was," said Karl. "We left with a great sense of gratefulness and it meant a lot to each one of us to be able to help." By reaching out to people and encouraging them to get involved they were able to give back to the community and make a difference. "This is just the beginning," said Karl. "I am committed to continue to give back in any way I can."

Love Out Loud is a non-profit ministry that is dedicated to meeting the needs of thousands of homeless women, children and men. With the support of the community each Saturday they distribute over 400 sack lunches, clothing, shoes, hygiene packs and other essential items.
