TITLE: Voice/Network Engineer

SALARY: $100,000 - $115,000 + 15% bonus

SUMMARY:
The Voice/Network Engineer will support robust, forward-thinking solutions for the Unified Communications systems and infrastructure. The Voice/Network Engineer will use their enthusiasm for technology to support and help drive modern solutions and be a part of a high-performance team. The Voice/Network Engineer is expected to support telephony and network solutions with best practices and reusable solutions.

DUTIES:
- Hands-on role in the maintenance and modernization of the Unified Communication (UC) solutions, services and initiatives
- Assist in the maintenance of UC architectures, leveraging integrations and automation to reduce manual efforts and increase efficiencies
- Help support roadmap and deliverables to achieve "high-availability, always-on" UC and network vision
- Collaborate and execute the vision to modernize the Unified Communication footprint, focusing on technologies, frameworks and best practices
- Focus on extensible solutions to adapt to the business' needs
- Prioritize initiatives based on business needs, cost savings and other relevant factors a moderate degree of autonomy is expected
- Have good written and oral communication skills and be comfortable communicating with non-technical people and explaining technical concepts in a non-technical manner
- Be a team player with good time managements skills and able to work unsupervised to meet deadlines
- Minimal travel is required for this position (up to 20% of the time and on a domestic basis). Mainly local Houston based travel to site locations. Out of town travel very minimal

REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years' experience in deployment and support of Unified Communications frameworks and architectures
- Cisco Call Manager
- Contact Center
- Unity experience required
- Deployment and support of large, complex LAN/WAN
- Deployment and support of firewall/VPN infrastructures CCSA/NSE6 or equivalent preferred
- Working knowledge and experience with Telephony Moves, Adds, and Changes and integrations of and between Cisco’s Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Unified Contact Center (UCCX), Cisco Unified Attendant Console (CUACA), Unity, Emergency Responder (CER), and Mobile and Remote Access (MRA)
- Experience in SIP (protocol and circuits), T1/ISDN/PRI, Dial Plans, Voice gateways, and SIP CUBE
- Working knowledge and experience with 2Ring, Akkadian, and Eleveo strongly preferred
- Working knowledge and experience with routing and switching strongly preferred
- Experience with firewall policy management strongly preferred
- Troubleshooting network and telephony performance using multiple diagnostic and monitoring tools and analyze traffic and provide capacity planning and trouble remediation
- Ability to use network diagramming tools

EDUCATION:
- BS/BA or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or other analytical discipline, or relevant work experience, and at least 3 years' experience in
