RATE: $50-58/hour DOE

SUMMARY:
• Have a “Design Thinking” mindset and define problems in human-centric ways; challenge the process and be unsatisfied with the status quo, and synthesize research and interview insights into problem statements, customer journey maps, individual interview profiles, and other ideation outputs
• User Experience Designer is responsible for developing intuitive, compelling and forward-thinking designs and experiences for complex and dynamic mobile, desktop, voice, and web applications.
• Represent the corporate team and work in seamless collaboration with internal groups to strategize and develop innovative solutions that deliver real value for our customers and the business.
• Shape critical success strategy of the innovation team and lead the team’s ideation efforts by engaging current/ potential customers and internal teams through generative research and design efforts including: Design Thinking workshops, Design Sprints, and effect problem solving activities.
• Identify client challenges and problems and identify the best way to help solve it.
• Pinpoint structural UX inaccuracies resolve oversights. MUST be a problem-spotter and not just a solution-maker.
• MUST take audacity and humility into account when creating experiences for our customers. Audacity is to believe that the thing you are creating is something our customers want and need. Humility is about the customers you are designing for and not about you and your wants.

DUTIES:
• Plan and facilitate targeted ideation workshops with customers, partners, and internal corporate teams using design thinking methodologies to uncover solutions to problem statements generated in ideation phase
• Be an innovation champion and establish and lead cultural initiatives across corporate initiatives to inspire and motivate, including design thinking methodology
• Build prototypes and relevant experiences that users can intuitively engage and communicate the prototype’s vision to other stakeholders, leadership, and potential users
• Partner with engineering to ensure designs are properly implemented.
• Drives creation of memorable and impactful products for a wide range of digital experiences, including web, mobile, desktop, and voice applications
• Create and deliver artifacts (user flows, detailed wireframes, prototypes and other interaction design deliverables) that articulate a meaningful user experience
• Work collaboratively with lines of business to develop strategies for taking their offerings into digital environments; identify digital marketing, service innovation and customer engagement opportunities and cultivate those opportunities into acquisition/retention returns
• Collaborate with a core team of specialists, strategists, visual designers, content strategists and visual designers, to deliver digital experiences
• Understand what data is available, how it can answer pressing questions, and how it can enable action
• Take the initiative in providing input and feedback in both departmental discussions and on issues relating to other departments
• Help business understand and help them see the true value in what we and our team provide

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years’ experience with business strategy, innovation, or similar roles focused on driving growth for a business and its customers
• MUST Have online portfolio of UX samples and strong experience with UX, UI, and visual design
• Proficiency with Axure, Invision, and Sketch other similar design platforms
• Experience working in an Agile environment and corporate agency fast passed environments
• Ability to leverage design thinking when deciding on the right output Demonstrated history of- and passion for- leading groups through ideation workshops
• Successful history of interpreting trends and research to generate high potential business ideas for further exploration, prototyping, and incubation
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence others
• Ability to implement human centered design, design principles, and color theory to produce the best aesthetics and simplified user experiences


EDUCATION:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred but not required
