TITLE: Senior Network Engineer
CLIENT: Global Insurance
LOCATION: Northwest Houston
WORK SCHEDULE: Hybrid 4 days on-site w/Fridays remote.
SALARY: $130,000-$140,000 Base Salary along with a guaranteed annual bonus of $10,000-$15,000 AND SIGN ON Bonus

The Global Network Services Team is an integral part of the Infrastructure Services function within the Corporate IT organization and are responsible for the effective operation of global network and telecommunication services across the organization, spanning approx. 80 locations globally.
Global Network Services design, build, deploy, and operate all aspects of IT Networking, Network Security and Telephony technologies and services. We are a small but high performing global team, split across London and Houston; operating on a 24x7 basis to deliver a stable, secure, and scalable service for the organization, in accordance with ITIL and Industry best practice
•You will proactively operate, maintain, and monitor the network infrastructure globally, delivering “network as a service” to each business unit across the organization.
•Work as part of a team on Incident Management – technical resolution for all network incidents including troubleshooting of complex outages and required corrective actions. Focus on supporting the team with any stakeholder communication during such events. Ensure all Incidents and requests meet required OLA's.
•Ensure all network changes are undertaken in line with the internal change management processes, follow all change management processes.
•Execute on problem management activities ensuring that all open problem records are regularly updated and reported on through to resolution or closure.
•Support product lifecycle management activities across the network portfolio
•Actively participate and engage on network engineering design and design governance
•Identify and correct network non-compliance issues
•Ensure that the network infrastructure is fully documented and performing as required for internal and customer SLA guarantees and expectations by means of specific metrics and measurements
•Identify opportunities to implement and recommend on emerging or cost-effective technology solutions.
•Strong background with internetworking within a global enterprise organization.
•Possession of relevant experience in managing product lifecycle, with strong expertise around Cisco products.
•You will have relevant and demonstrable hands-on experience in implementing, managing, and troubleshooting networks in a pressurized environment, ideally within Financial Services or Insurance.
•You will be familiar with a variety of testing tools, networking technologies and techniques to accurately troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems associated with the service, application and network hardware and software.
