TITLE: Python Analyst

CLIENT: Energy Company

LOCATION: Houston, Texas (Hybrid/Remote)

TYPE: Contract (6-12 month ongoing contract)

RATE: $40-42/hour DOE

• Synthesizing vast amounts of information from disparate sources into clear, concise findings, providing presentations for executive management and leadership team
• Maintaining appropriate research and analytics protocols that boost opportunity identification, competitor monitoring, and trend spotting efforts that may impact clients or the firm
• Use statistical modeling to develop and maintain client, market, industry, and prospect risk profiles
• Evaluate and employ various regression and classification techniques to predict win rates, lateral hire success, key performance indicators, marketing optimization, and uncovering growth opportunities
• Work with Operations team members to develop ongoing reporting, analytics, dashboards, and insights requirements for all marketing technology systems
• Liaise across Client Development teams to obtain data and analyze user journeys, with the goal of developing client profiles to inform and shape targeted marketing efforts
• Recommend data intake and process requirements and improvements based on system knowledge, report findings and Client Development requests
• Analyze, synthesize, and interpret marketing analytics for the broader Client Development team as requested
• Document data requirements and flows between systems and on projects, as necessary

• 2-3 years of professional experience with Python or R
• 2-3 years of professional experience with SQL and ETL processes
• 2-3 years of professional experience accessing and manipulating data in a SQL database environment
• Experience in the professional services industry, Energy Oil & Gas, or Technology
• Experience with business resources such as Power BI, Foundation, and Aderant Expert
• Solid business acumen, with an ability to “connect the dots” and tell stories with data to a wide range of (mostly non-technical) end users
• Demonstrable expertise in determining the appropriate analytic approaches and computing techniques given data availability and business need
• Mid-level knowledge of one data science language (preferably R, Python, or DAX); familiarity with a second is a plus
• Experience with developing effective data visualization approaches
• Strong interpersonal and project management skills – able to work independently, as needed, managing projects from start to finish with minimal oversight
• Proficient in SAS, and SAS MACRO is a big plus!

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems is required; or, a bachelor’s degree in Business, Market Research is required with additional training/certification in data analytics
