TITLE: Market Research Analyst

CLIENT: Energy Company

LOCATION: Houston, Texas or Austin, Texas

TYPE: Contract (Hybrid role one or two days in office)

RATE: 45/hour DOE

SUMMARY:
• Marketing analytics & reporting (campaign metrics) versed in tools such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics
• Generate reports in Excel for shareholders compiling sales traffic: web & call volume
• Monitor budget functions: tracking, maintenance, and reports
• Build visualization support templates to manage data stories (dashboards, presentations, etc.)
• Work and collaboration with multiple shareholders within sales, marketing, external media agency, and internal finance teams


DUTIES:
• Ensure all marketing campaign metrics/KPIs are being tracked accurately
• Track, assess and report data across acquisition/media and retention efforts (upper & mid funnel, digital advertising, direct mail, email, and customer communications)
• Report performance for campaign results to understand impact on retention efforts; brand strength, awareness, and consideration; market share across Texas and Northeast
• Track and pull data for digital (media channels: social, video, display, etc.) tactics, as well as analog data that can include call volume, direct mail responses and renewal rates
• Use data visualization skills to create reports, dashboards and presentations that clearly, accurately, and reliably report on campaign effectiveness (ROI, CTR, CPM, VCR, brand strength, renewal rates, etc.)
• Incorporate previous performance and learnings to build clear data stories that offer actionable insights
• Ability to communicate and present the meaning behind the data and what the results mean, identify trends, and help solve problems
• Track mass media budget spend as it relates to performance goals and metrics and report out on progress with insights and recommendations
• Coordinate, track and document departmental budget reconciliation, reforecasting, and reporting to accounting
• Contribute to team, multiagency and lower funnel team calls with performance metrics and insights


REQUIREMENTS:
• 5 years analytics and reporting for marketing campaigns (online & offline sources)
• Versed in top data analytics tools such as R/Python, Tableau, Power BI
• Expertise with business intelligence tools, web analytics, tracking technologies, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to track, measure and report on omnichannel marketing campaigns to determine ROI
• Expertise assimilating data from multiples sources to build dashboards and effective displays showing easy-to-interpret trends, metrics, and actionable insights
• Strong data visualization skills with ability to build meaningful/clear data stories from campaign metrics and present to a variety of audiences

EDUCATION:
• Bachelors degree in Marketing, Market Research Strategy, or related field is required
