JOB SUMMARY
The consultant is primarily responsible for implementing, maintaining and supporting the client’s Financial applications. The consultant is responsible for supporting Finance Modules and their respective stakeholders in the implementation of new functionality, maintenance, and upgrade of the supported applications. The consultant will analyze business needs, document requirements, business impact and translate findings into proper system requirement specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify business requirements and map them to the Oracle Cloud functionality.
• Support the implementation of the Financials Modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Planning and Budgeting, and Accounts Payable.
• Identify functionality gaps and support the development of solutions.
• Configure the Oracle Cloud Financials Module to meet company requirements; document configurations.
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand data improvement and focus areas of business for Information Management.
• Consult and participate in Cloud upgrade releases and new projects involving strategy, implementation, and support.
• Stay abreast of and share new Supply Chain concepts, processes, trends, and best practices with fellow IT colleagues and stakeholders; recommend for adoption new or updated functionality ensuring continuous process improvement.
• Work with vendors to resolve technical issues encountered in the Financial process
• Create and maintain existing documentation (configuration, test scripts, functional specs for reporting and integration).
• Document new business processes, capabilities, and functional requirements.
• Track and report IT performance KPI's to IT Manager every month.
• Evaluate business requirements with the functional team to determine solution options available to address request (e.g. custom development and/or out of the box solution). Work with Lead Development Consultant to develop Oracle custom programs or reports to address user’s needs as needed.
• Provide assistance in key system processes (i.e. process of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes) as needed.
• Assist with functional testing of monthly, quarterly, and emergency patches.
• Ensure integration with outside partners such as banks and payroll.
• Design, develop, test, document, and maintain all programs that require integration with Oracle (e.g. E-Commerce) as needed.
• Provide assistance in key system processes (i.e. process of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes) as needed.
• Analyzes and predicts trends and develops a long-range plan designed to maintain cost-effectiveness and competitiveness of the enterprise’s I.T.
• Participates in I.T. strategy planning activities, bringing a current knowledge and future vision of technology and systems and best practices as related to the needs of the business.
• Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain a competitive advantage.
• Act proactively as a backup professional for other modules and daily IT activities.
• Train others (individual, and groups) as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned, based on workload and business need.


COMPETENCIES (will be developed later, ties into career development)

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Finance.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT in development and/or analyst capacity.
• Hands-on experience in Oracle Cloud Finance (EPM and ERP applications).
• Project Management experience (PMI, Agile or Waterfall methodologies); PMP or similar certification preferred.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Problem-solver with the ability to translate qualitative and quantitative information into actionable recommendations.
• Proactive and entrepreneurial. Able to handle multiple tasks, partner with cross-functional teams and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical mindset, great at problem-solving, with the ability to create consensus from diverse perspectives.

• May require occasional travel for training and conferences.
• Must be legally eligible for employment in the United States and pass drug screen, reference, and criminal background checks.
