Our Client has an opening in its Global Security Operations Center best suited for an early career security professional. The successful applicant will be a member of a team that is responsible for protecting the client’s assets around the clock by conducting monitoring, notification, and research tasks. Performing these tasks requires good judgment, attention to detail, quick thinking, strong interpersonal skills, and intellectual curiosity.

Physical Security Operations
• Monitoring physical security access control systems and taking appropriate actions in response to an alarm, breach, malfunction, or other event
• Responding to requests for assistance from the local workforce and field personnel
• Functioning as the travel security lead during non-core business hours
• Backstopping the uniformed contract security site supervisor

Intelligence Collection and Analysis
• Monitoring for and identifying threats, incidents and trends that may affect the security of the company’s people, facilities, operations and reputation
• Conducting research and analysis to answer security-related intelligence requirements and support investigations
• Authoring and disseminating assessments
• Database building and process/tool development

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Able to communicate clearly and accurately in English
• Able to work rotating work shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays
• At least one year of experience working in an operations center (or similar environment) in which physical security monitoring and access control was a primary focus
• Experience using open source tools and techniques, including social media, to collect and analyze information pertaining to personnel investigations, threat/risk assessments, and/or geopolitical developments
• Basic level of proficiency in core Microsoft Office tools, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and Sharepoint

• Experience using video monitoring, access control, and alarm monitoring applications, particularly Lenel/OnGuard
• Experience operating emergency notification applications
• Basic knowledge of the oil and gas industry
• Basic awareness of current political-security trends in the United States and abroad
• Experience using a traveler tracking system
• An intermediate or higher level of proficiency in a language other than English

• Associates degree or two years of college level education
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
