SUMMARY:

We are seeking experienced global mobility specialists for a short-term assignment supporting our Global team based out of Houston, Texas. This is a contract position and is temporary in nature, with a planned contract duration of 6 months in order to provide additional support to the team during a busy season including significant international activity increase as well as an ongoing software implementation for global talent mobility management.

The role will report to the Sr Manager and may be assigned to projects supporting both the global benefits and global compensation teams in addition to global mobility expertise being desired. Primary objectives of this role include coverage in supporting day-to-day global expatriate program, conducting full scale review of all expat policies and procedures to provide consultative recommendations for program enhancements where possible. Partner with our company HR Business Partners in matters of expat administration, including potential new assignments, transfers, and repatriations, as well as supporting with ongoing US immigration compliance including coordination of H-1B and Green Card petitions or company exchange programs.


DUTIES:

• Provides day-to-day support to global expatriate assignees and human resources department.
• Interpret, educate and coach employees and line management on the policies and process.
• Coordinate the process of preparation of assignment letters; compensation worksheets, visas and work permits; global relocation process; maintaining regular communication with the global assignee and family.
• Assist with on-boarding of new expatriates.
• Work with Global HR team on the administration, interpretation, and updating of the expatriate policy.
• Prepare budget reports on expatriate expenses.
• Process relocation, tax and other vendor invoices.
• Administer company’s additional global activities and involvement as assigned (i.e. H1-B, Green card, company exchange programs, etc.).
• Perform other duties as assigned by HR leadership and also work collaboratively with the Global HR specialist.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 7 years of expatriate assignment administration or related experience.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, conflict resolution and project management skills.
• Above average interpersonal relations, global cultural awareness and written/oral communication skills.
• Experience with expat lifecycle and the administration of the company’s expatriate policy, tax policy and relocation policy.
• Must have a solid understanding of a variety of software applications and web-based technologies.

PREFERRED:
• Experience with implementation of HR software including global mobility related applications, such as Topia.
• Experience in HR policy design with an expertise in the global mobility function in order to ensure alignment with compliance requirements and remain aligned to market.
• Experience supporting or working for a global oil and gas company, preferably upstream exploration and production.


EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree required
