SUMMARY:
Under general supervision of the Employee Relations Manager, the Employee Relations Specialist plays a role in creating a great place to work by instilling confidence in the front-line leaders and employees. Must be unbiased and neutral in facilitating resolution to employee relations issues and concerns.

DUTIES:

• The role provides education and guidance on ER related inquiries from employees and front-line leaders, elevating issues as appropriate by leveraging various additional support departments to deliver high quality ER services.
• This professional will be advising employees and front-line leaders for assigned business units and clients on various employee relations issues. These include employee counseling, progressive discipline, involuntary terminations, driving consistent policy interpretation and application, and providing other support necessary for driving a culture of accountability, inclusivity, and fairness.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to establish credibility, build rapport and create trust in a virtual setting. Excellent relationship management skills and ability to collaborate effectively and partner well with others.
• Enterprise orientation to provide consistent guidance on issues and policies spanning various lines of business. Ability to understand the nuances of various lines of business and communicate using business terminology and provide recommendations in support of individual business needs.
• Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and use time effectively and efficiently, while shifting frequently between multiple priorities and business requirements simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented employee relations specialist with a passion for creating a fair, positive working environment and facilitating communication between employees and leaders.
• Uses professional and customer-focused approach, with excellent verbal and written communication to handle customer inquiries.
• Demonstrates a sense of commitment to work and willingly assumes responsibility for accomplishing objectives. Sets a Winning Example - Demonstrates integrity, including placing Company interests ahead of personal agendas
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems by analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems collaboratively with others, using independent judgment to select proper courses of action.
• Demonstrated ability to support a positive team environment and to contribute to team development and transfer of knowledge.
• Demonstrated ability to champion the employee experience by leveraging the organization’s culture and values; ensuring equitable resolutions to employee relations issues.
• Demonstrated ability to work reactively on critical employee relations issues that are crisis-oriented and typically can only be successfully completed with limited time.
• Assures alignment of business strategies/initiatives with company’s employee relations principles and practices

EDUCATION:

Required- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
